We get a big discount at work for Bridgestones and would like some info on which would be best please. 195 45 16 are the size in question.

Any tyre experts here?

Thanks

Can you extend that discount to random forum acquaintances? :D

I would expect the RE040 if you can still get hold of them, if not the RE050A.

Did you ever get any of the Bridgestones mate? I'm thinking of trying the RE050As

Yeh had them on the front, lasted about 6 months and were great in the dry but got a bit skitty in the wet once they wore down abit. Replaced with Yokohamas now.

Just had 4 of the RE050As fitted to my Octavia vRS (so a little larger than your requirement).
Very impressed so far - certainly a lot quieter than my old Dunlops.
I'm also getting a much smoother ride (although that could be because my Dunlops were extremely worn).
They also feel nice and clingy around the corners.

I bet you aren't going to have to pay £115 per corner for your RE050As :)

Ooops - just noticed this is a major thread revival.

knew someone who used to have a 182 running the same 16s as you ve speced..
she had potenza re720s on there, i never drove her car but after she went from falkens to bridgestone she s never gone for any other brand of tire (oh this isnt ur typical woman driver btw, we re talking a girl who has a heavy right foot and tire screechs round corners)..
i m guessing most potenza s are good for the fwd cars of a small hatch nature as many honda civic owners highly rate potenza s..
i m not entirely sure which ones to recommend to you however these few choices i de suggest to steer clear for your type of car, re92(mainly 4/4s), re-11s(road legal cut slicks, unless you want to chance them in our tempermental wet weather climate) and re070(more suited to high power saloons), hope this will help narrow don ur choice a little..
try lookin into re720s if they still manufacture and re760sports for small performance hatchs..

Cheers, how are you finding the Yoko's now? Which ones are they?

Work out at £80 a corner. Also looking at Pirelli P Zero Nero @ £70 and Toyo T1Rs at £60 a corner.
