I've had a family friend over who used to repair smashes like this for a living. He said what I kinda thought, but hadn't dared believe.
Structurally, doesn't look too bad; I was breaking hard enough to go underneath his car rather than into it minimizing the damage. Problem is however, he thinks to get it all strained out and painted properly is in the region of £1000 for the work with the parts ontop of that. Dangerously close to the cars value
