Bit of a stupid question - BMW battery location

Is the battery located in the boot or the main engine bay on a 318i SE facelift model?

oo, maybe they do. I thought all batteries where in the boot for weight distribution.

It's in the boot on the drivers side in my E92

As above - 4 pot under the bonnet. 6 pot in the boot to the right.

I was under the assumption that e36 & e46 4 pot batteries were under the bonnet, and the 6 pots were in the boot.

My mistake, the e46 was the boot also, just the e36 that was under the bonnet!

When did they do that?

Mine is certainly in the boot...had to jump start my brother's Corolla the other day, confused him when I reversed up to his car.

Yeah the 320d battery is in the boot, and fwiw is about the biggest battery I've ever seen fitted to a car.

Mercs have em under the rear seat, It used to annoy me when i needed to jump start a car, then I realised they provide you with a positive terminal in the engine compartment, doh!
