Getting origional photos of such classic scenery is tough...
Firstly, the composure is not interesting, 50-50 sky-land makes for boring photos that feel unbalanced. The 2 people hugging also are out of place squeezed to the edge of the photo. And indeed, the hole fence and people seems to be in the way of of the natural shot. If the people are important then they should take a much more important focal point, and perhaps be larger.
I just don't know what to look at with all the sky, all the land, and yet mall silhouetted people to the side.
expsoure: tough shot shooting into the sun, an ND grad filter would have prevented the sky over exposing.
The vignetting top rght is distracting, probably caused by a polariser stacked on a UV filter, or was the FOV very wide (<18mm DX)??
IMO, focusing on he RHS of the shot would lead to a better photo. The lighting is easier with the sun, and the rock and snow layers have interesting textures with warm colours reflecting the sun. The sky is also interesting on the rhs.
The people embracing have potential but I think from that perspective it is hard to really combine the sense of scale of the GC and the the loving hugging act of the silhouettes in a single shot. No Idea how I would try to capture it.
Overall, it is nice, but just doesn't cut it as a classic for me.
