The 96 Who'll Never Walk Alone

No one was ever held accountable aswell. More evidence for Police covering up their dirty work.
There was a good account of Hillsborough in a book I read, I still have it somewhere but can't remember what it was called, it covered pretty much all of the aspects of what happened but one think which has always annoyed me is that out of all the calls for people being held to account you never hear from any of the Liverpool fans that turned up late and caused the incident by shoving their way down the centre tunnel and not going to the left or the right paddocks.

Still, this isn't the place to discuss that so R.I.P. to all those that lost their lives that day.

Had family and friends in that stand.
Who had decided to try and get me a hat / scarf ( as my birthday is on the 9th of April )
They left just before things started to get really bad.

Everytime I walk to my seat, I always think about this.

Gone, but not forgotten.

You'll never walk alone.

Dirty work.
You should get to know more people from the area, or that went.
You'll soon find out what actually happened.

The police were not 100% to blame.

What strikes me most about the list of names, is how many sirnames are coming out in pairs, thinking how many are fathers and sons.

I was in the car with my mum and switch on to smooth fm and YNWA came on, we both stopped talking, very somber moment.

Why are people shouting and booing at the memorial service ?

Its to remember the dead not to find justice.

I was about 30 at the time and watched every second on the TV.
This is how I remember it and please shoot me down if I'm wrong.

1 - Virtually all the real fans with tickets were in the ground well before kick off.
2 - Around 14:50 about 5000 ticketless Liverpool fans decided to all come out of the pubs and flock to the Liverpool end.
3 - Because of all the pushing on the gates & turnstiles people were being crushed so the order was to open the gates to stop people from being badly injured.
4 - 5000 ticketless fans push their way into an area that is already full.
5 - The real fans have got nowhere to go because people like the 5000 (and 1000s more around the country) had caused the clubs to put barriers up.
6 - 96 real fans with tickets sadly and tragically died.

RIP
