Subaru Impreza - Owners / knowledgeable chaps etc

Just did the £3.95 check on mycarcheck and its all come back clear :)

I cant see those £20 giving me anything extra apart from a shiny peice of paper
 
Sam, go with the RAC HPI checks. They were only £5 last time I ran one (2008) and very comprehensive. Also check how long the trackstar subscription lasts for.

Have done mate its registered to the owner rather than the car so i will have to resub

They always are - it's so the bar stewards can gouge more money out of you. Make sure they test it before you renew the subscription! Those units do break, and there's no way to tell if they have. In order for them to test it you must have driven the vehicle within the last half hour. Note also that a tracker is a requirement of any insurance, so you may need to renew the tracker subs before you actually drive it, as otherwise technically you're driving it uninsured. There was a case somewhere of a car being stolen soon after being sold and before the subscription was changed, and Trackstar refused to activate the tracker.
