Do you struggle not to eat your lunch before lunch time?

I do, just had my sarnie in about 10 seconds flat, now I'm full at the moment but I know that this afternoon is going to be torture as I'm trying to avoid fillers like biscuits and chocolate at the moment. :(

I managed the previous two days but I hadn't been to the gym before work on those days.

I know that when I worked for a while doing Junior Web Design work I found myself eating at about 11, 1, and then 4.
I'd stagger my lunch throughout this, and have a few snacky bits at 4 also.
Kept me going until about 7 when I got home for dinner.

However, when it was quiet and not a lot of activity and rushing around, I found myself sneaking off to the vending machine for a chocolate bar a few times :(

If you've been doing a load of exercise then it's worth eating a little more - even if you're trying to lose weight - because as you've worked out, the resulting hunger can end up counter-productive!

Since I've started cycling the hilly 8 miles to & from work I've actually had to make an effort to eat enough breakfast - sometimes even after I get into work (although worth having a nibble before leaving home too). If I don't do this I'm 1) ravenous and 2) headachey. Also have a piece of flapjack or bananas within an hour of setting off home, too.

Get yourself a weekly stash of banananas, maybe nuts or raisins, maybe even cereal - and keep them in your desk at work.

itll be an asda run for me soon :) i sadly forgot my lunch and left it on the fridge at home, gutted last nights pasta was ace :(

Thank you for reminding me I have leftover Pasta AND Chilli in the fridge, I shall be moving to gobble it up shortly :)

However i'm currently out of cheese, and I can't be bothered with the shop, it will make it all slightly less enjoyable :(

I'm terrible with bananas I'd quite happily eat half a bunch a day :(

Well I suppose you could try and get something you don't really like but that will quell hunger? :P

The flapjacks are a bit like that for me - they're over-sweet Tesco ones which aren't all that nice so I only eat them when I know I should... Or when really hungry...

I have always eaten my work lunch before 10am, unless it is something that needs heating up in the microwave etc.

Now that i have stopped smoking i find that i am not eating more, but i am eating at different times, such as much earlier and much later in the day.

Before when eating normally I'd always get hungry and eat before lunch, then be hungry for the rest of the day.

Now I eat 6 meals a day so have 3 meals whilst in the office - keeps me from being hungry :)

a nice large bowl of oatabix (apple and raisin) can easily keep me going all day, but i do have it for lunch as well, i know its not very varied, but i really enjoy them at the moment. try it and see :D

if you keep thinking about food constantly and creating threads about it then obviously you are going to be hungry

Don't know if someone has said it but you should eat every 4 hours. So I eat your breakfast and lunch as normal but have healthy snacks inbetween. Apple, Bannana, Plain biscuit, piece of toast etc.

I already had a bowl of shreddies, marmite on toast, banana + a yoghurt before I had my sandwich.
