Hey Mates,
If you had everything in my specs, what would you get next? Please tell me why too ex: " I would get a (specific brand) 1TB hd because I download a lot of movies"

btw- In my rig I also have a 750w PSU that sli ready (4x6pin), and 500gb WD Green drive. Storage is not really an issue as I only dl music for the most part. Oh plus I have a dvd burn/lightscribe drive, and nice cd burner. I was thinking about getting a gtx 285 for sli, or another 60gb Vertex for raid0, or maybe a new case as my next buy. See I can't really decide.

The reason I want to know what and why you would buy is maybe there is something more I am just not thinking of.

Thanks for any advice/suggestions in advance.

Looks like you don't really need an upgrade. However if you must, I would upgrade the monitor and maybe add a Blu-Ray drive.

If you insist on getting something, i'd say your hardware is fine, and to look at upgrading your peripherals? However i dont know what you have at current so cant comment specifically, but speakers / monitor (or a 2nd one) / new mouse / nice new chair / fridge to go udner desk / desk etc would be my choice.

For me, once you get to a certain spec of computer, you have to spend hundreds and hundreds for just a minimal increase in your gaming experience. But looking outside of the box at other ways you can improve your experience like the environment you game in, redecorating your study and getting a new chair or desk etc, can make a huge difference into how much you can become immersed (spelling) in your games and have fun

I would get a better case because Aprevia's have got bad airflow and looks ugly.

^^this, I think you said somewhere else that you liked the case regardless of what anyone else had to say, but that case is fugly and putting that kind of spec in a case like that is a bit out of place IMO :)

What screen do you use? A new screen can be a very worthwhile upgrade if it's a good size/quality.

Silverstone Fortress.

Thats the last thing I fitted. Next will be graphics upgrade later this year if I need it for the new games that are coming, apart from that I'm very happy now.

Or what soundcard do you have? I bought an Asus Xonar before the Fortress for some really nice sound.

I agree, I spent about $300 on everything else and yet spent $70 on my case.

Yes I do have money to blow, and yes it does burn holes in my pocket.

Watercooling is too out of my realm of experience, however I am going to build a water setup for a 2.8ghz HT P4 just for practice this summer in a "junk case" build just for fun. Maybe later I will feel comfortable enough to have water that close to exploding 2K worth of hardware.

Desk is in dire needs of an upgrade, and monitor is a 20.5 inch and is very clear, so that will be one of my last upgrades. I want to get to higher priority buys first.

onboard sound is amazing, although a nice sound card would be cool, but I'd want one that would integrate a small home studio, any suggestions?

Please keep the ideas coming guys, I'm getting all sorts of good ideas from this. Would anyone bother with vertex raid or sli setup? GTA IV is the ONLY game I can't turn the draw distance all the way up on. It irks me. It taunts and dares me to go sli. I mean, the game runs phenomenal. Bad port my A$$, I just don't think most pc's can cope. I know my E2200 setup struggled with it when it had same card.

I think getting another vertex in RAID 0 would be pretty good. Theres a thread about the speed results and when 2 or 3 are in RAID 0 the read/write speeds are ridiculousy fast!

A 20.5inch screen should well be upgraded to at least 24" :p but like poeple have said, if youve got the money get a really good quality screen as big as u can afford!

SLI would make GTAIV work fine.. hell, better than fine! Plus would pretty much future proof your graphics for a good while :)

well the screen I want is: Acer G24 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 2ms, 1920x1200, WUXGA, DVI, HDCP, HDMI.

I'll be honest, me and a friend are a a peeing contest with our rigs, which is why I spent so little on my case but bought such and elaborate setup.

I really won't be done with my rig until: I get 3 way sli 285's, get 3 vertex drives in raid0, 2 1tb drives for raid 0, a case and the above mentioned monitor. So when I do decide to get a better case, of course, I'm going to ask for suggestions from everyone here.

and then by then I'll be tempted by the classified and quad sli next I'm sure.

I don't think you'll get GTA IV draw distance up without having a card with 2 gig ram on it (single card that is) - difficult to get a hold of :) - sapphire 4870 2gb vapor-x anyone?
