I love memes, they're completely idiotic, and I think I've just been watching videos on http://knowyourmeme.com/ for about the last hour and was wondering do you ever purposefully, or by accident say them in your group of friends?

Fail seems to be known by everyone but do you ever say it IRL and get a puzzled look? Have you ever told your mum 'thanks for the info'? How many times have you said 'facepalm' out loud?

I sometimes come out with "Epic!" when drunk, or "Win/Owned" while on a quiz machine or see something funny e.g. bird falling over in high heels.
 
I gave up trying not to be a geeky internet weirdo, so I just freely use any of those in conversation, obviously if the situation is applicable.

Some people don't get it. Noobs tbh.

I don't really say them in public but a good match on xbox live is always followed up with ".... Epic fail!" Don't tase me bro is also a classic.
 
Om nom nom isn't a meme. Not in the truest sense of the word, in that it was done long before the meme came about on sesame street (IIRC). Thanks for the info works as a statement, as does you're doing it wrong.

The rest would all sound as gay as G|mp on a sunday if used away from the net.
 
I sometimes say "O Rly" to people just to see if they reply with "Ya Rly" but all i ever get is jsut a repeat of the previous statement :(

One day someone will reply with the correct answer!

Only around my gamer friends though. With 'normal' people i tend to stick to 'Fail' or 'Epic'.

I've said "epic fail" and "epic win" a fair few times in conversation with non-forum people and it's been accepted, mainly because they didn't know it was an internet phrase in the first place. As for "O RLY"... that's just saying "Oh... really?", which is nothing out of the orginaly. If you use them right they just sound well... normal really. :)

I would never ever use such speak in a normal conversation or in a thread even. But that's just me I guess. I find fads quite annoying and prefer to stick to my own thoughts and sayings. I am rather old fashioned and as my lady says, I talk like I am from the 1950's. It is far, far better to be an individual rather than follow the crowd.

Aparently I am now wise.
