Why have I not seen the saloon version of the RS6 before?

While it doesn't have the beauty of an DB9, it's still looks like a stunning car!

How much? £76,160
Engine: 4991cc 40v twin-turbo V10, 572bhp @ 6250-6700rpm, 479lb ft @ 6250-6700rpm
Transmission: Six-speed auto, four-wheel drive
Performance: 4.5sec 0-62mph, 155mph (ltd), 20.3mpg, 331g/km CO2

Housey, got one on order yet? ;)

I think the only issue I have with the Audi RS range is... they don't look that different from the S-Line / S range. Same reason I think they should have kept the LED lights for the R8 only.

To 95% of the public that'll look like a standard audi (albeit with an awesome v10 sound!).

I like it a lot though.

I wonder if the new RS's will get as good residuals as previous ones? Granted thats going to sting in two years but not as bad as an M5.

2000 RS4's in good nick still going for 16-17k now. Maybe a case they lose loads in early life but still are desirable so find a level and pretty much stick at it.

But surely that's the point of the RS? It looks almost the same as anything else in the range, but goes like stink, give me subtlety over bling any day! ;)

Yeah, true. I guess if I had speant 76k on a car I'd want people to know it was expensive ... :p:cool:

I find the price of old RS series Audis really odd, taking the RS4 as an example, for less cash you can buy a newer and better M3, now i like my RS series Audis lots but the price premium over a better car is just odd.

Agreed.

Like it..... sat in one when buying my A6 Avant.

I also think the Avant is the one to go for. It has a better ride than the saloon and a V10 in a estate would be uba! Also, the interior is fantastic, but probably not special enough for the RS6 as it looks almost identical to my standard A6 except for the buckets and carbon fibre bits, where mine is all brushed ali.

btw, the gearstick is actually an auto with tiptronic.

4.5 seconds 0-60 ?

teeny bit heavy for my mind. C63 AMG with only 450bhp can manage it in 4.4 and thats without fancy 4WD

change the exhaust headers for ones the size fitted to the E63, add a remap and you've got 550bhp and 0-60 of sub 4 seconds.

Budget for four new tyres per week and you're good to go :D

Considering it's a lot bigger than a C63, I'd expect it to be heavier.

Remap the RS6 and you'll probably get closer to 4 seconds, too.

An accomplished car ( bit of an understatement :p ) indeed.

However, for @£76k I would want a car to look like it was dripping in sex and not to look like a "nice" looking upmarket saloon.
