BMW E46 - Bootlip Yay or Nay?

I sort of like the look of the lip spoiler on E46's, what do you guys think?

Here is my car:

I think it would finish the car nicely, or would it be too chav-esque?!

Opinions?

Edit: If anyone wants to complain about the fact that i've got a 4pot please don't bother posting

Why would something thats standard fit on about half the E46's on the road be chav?

Doesn't need the downforce as it hasn't got 6 cylinders and 30000BHP like all the other BMWs.

Lip spoilers look great imho.

I'd get one if it were me.

Most of the 6 cylinder BMW's don't need it either.

I cant imagine thats providing much downforce anyway. But its a nice looking car you've got, think it would look pretty smart on there. So long as it's done properly and the paint matches

OP: Go for the lip - will smarten up the rear end. Buy the tape from BMW and be very thorough preparing the surfaces (use meths or something to clean them). It is a two person job sticking it on

Cheers for the useful advice guys - will sort it soon!

Regarding the sports bumpers and MV1's(I might instead get MV2's), it's something i'd like to do soon, just not financially viable for me at the moment but it will be done somewhere down the line, i plan on keeping the car for a long time until i sort some other stuff out!

Similar(ish) to mine - a few posts before you in the show your motors thread..

I think they suit the car without looking fussy like the multispokes

I really, really wouldn't bother. Looking back at the pics of mine it had a boot lip, and i never even noticed.

Nahhh it looks pretty minor... maybe if you were trying to recreate the look of the car that has meant to have it.

I dont think it suits your car as it stands
