Your first time with OCUK..?

Our business model has not changed at all over the years. We continue to drive the U.K component e-tail market many try to copy but always fail. We are totally unique

I wouldn't say you are unique. There a couple of other 'Big' Component E-tail companies that are very popular indeed!

I have a huge online competitor just a 10-15 minute drive from my house so never really ordered much from OcUK, The free delivey could change that though as they can be a bit cheaper on a few things,

I usually upgrade pretty much everything in my pc in one go and OcUK will probably be where I come when I fancy an upgrade

OcUK has better CS than the competitors near us to be honest.

Our unique balance of enthusiasts products, performance hardware and our community presence is what sets us apart from every other E-tail component store in the U.K. No one else does what we do.

To be honest I'd say the majourity of people who buy from (and who are on the forums) don't constantly overclock their computers. However by overclocking occasionally lots of them probably learn a lot more about computers in the process.

There are definitely loads of other successful overclocking e-tailers, none of them quite have the community that OcUK does though but I dont think this place is amazing unique imo.

Placed my first order about 6-7 years ago. I was round my friend's house when a delivery from OcUK came. I asked what it was all about and he explained that you could save some money from building your own PC and if you selected the right components you could get some extra power from them. I've been ordering the majority of my components from OcUK ever since :) Not always the cheapest but when things go wrong I've had no hassle sorting it out with them.

I purchased everything to put together a machine for the first time back in 2001 when I needed a new computer.

I first logged into these forums then to get some advice on setting things up. Since then, I've bought various other bits and pieces, though not in many years I might add, possibly due to mainly using Macs at home these days.

I've never once overlocked anything though. I know various other people who are aware of this website as well, and don't think any of them are into overclocking either. It's just a good place to buy components from.

my best purchase, if I can remember correctly, was a celeron, might have been a Coppermine-128 but not sure, which I think had been drawn on, but the important part was you could overclock it from 600mhz to 900mhz or somthing like that and was cheap as chips to buy. Absolute steal that was, best cpu i've ever had.

Bought all the components for my first build from OcUK last summer, made loads of mistakes as I didn't join the forums until recently, but I learnt loads from the experience and I've been buying stuff from here ever since.

Bought my first pc from a local builder, (one of the first to own a P3), in all honesty he knew no more than me, and i probably know more than him now.

I tried to o/clock that but only with software not in bios, that was my first real attempt to o/clock.
So no OCUk didn't start me on the road to o/clocking, but it has been a great help since i found it.
I also don't find it the cheapest, but sometimes you have to pay more for peace of mind which i find you get from here.

No idea what my first buy was, but it would have been back in 99/01. I do know that for 3-4 years I bought quite a lot of stuff from here, covering many different categories. At the time this was the only place I would consider buying from, but I'll admit that I now, more than often, use other e-tailers.

Saying that, I actually placed my first order for around 5 years last week as a particular GFX card was much cheaper than anywhere else. Great service and free delivery (that wasn't 5 working days) was nice :)
