C2D E8600 Q822A462 OC thread - coming soon

Running my E8600 @ 4.4ghz (Watercooled) with approx 1.33v on the Vcore, not sure what batch, bought last Sep.
Be interesting see how yours goes.

I spoke with a user of another forums and he reached 6.5 Ghz with this batch - cooled by nitrogen ofcourse.
4GHz with 1.18 vcore - so looks good and Hopefuly I can reach 4.5 Ghz stable 24/7 with low voltage, and 5 GHz for benchmarks.

Mine present one needs 1.264v to run at 4 GHz and I can't get 4.5 GHz with low voltage - req minimum 1.45v.

Ok then.
4 GHz at 1.184v stable - I tried with less voltage but no chance.
I tried 4.5 GHz - doesnt matter how high voltage I've set doesn't want to boot - wall I think so.Next 4.9 GHz at 1.45v - no chance - OC failed.
I think I have to try with higher voltage, but it is quite dangerous I believe.

GTL at 0.625 - at 0.67 dosen't work at all.
Now I'm running CPu at 4 GHz so my VID is 1.1, but I have no idea what VID is at default clock - I have to check later on.
And my Mobo now is DFI P45 UT T2RS - crap

Ok VID is quite high 1.25.
My setting was:
490x10
Vcore 1.456v
VTT 1.25 - tried 1.3v as well
NB 1.35v
SB/PLL 1.55
RAM/CPU 1:1
All 6 GTL's 0.625

RAM timings: 5-5-5-18-52

I'm sure this CPU need more voltage.

Try 1.20 VTT and .65-.66 GTL ...these work for me on nearly all wolfdales for around 4.5ish ghz provided the chip is capable of it.

I think I know where the problem is - I have very big vdrop on my Mobo.Unusal on DFI boards but unfortunately I have bad example. It is shame I sold my DFI UT P35 board - that was very good one.
After setting 1.375 vcore in BIOS under OS I have 1.328 - vdrop in BIOS disable.

The P45 T2RS is not crap at all....I would say significantly better than the P35 mobo. THe p45 chipset is more sensitive to memory tuning though so perhaps that's where your problem lies.

Ok guys - that's it - my CPU is dead.
That was only 1.52v in BIOS and never woke up :)
I have 8.8 error all the time.I change for my old one and it is working fine
