I usually use telediscount from my landline to a mobile abroad for cheap calls. You call a special number and then dial the number you want to call. But I have a mobile I need to call in Australia and when I dial the telediscount number and then a mobile it says this mobile is a special tariff number that they don't deal with. Anyone know any one else I can use. the mobile number starts 0912. Maybe I am doing something wrong but do I need to dial the international dialing code before 0912 and if so what is the dialing code for Australia?

Anyone if anyone knows of anything similar to teledsicount where like telidiscount you don't need to register but just dial the discount number before the number you want to call?

Many thanks in advance

If you're calling an Australian number it's a good bet you need to use the Australian country code otherwise how does anyone know it's an Australian number? 09** numbers in the UK are premium rate which is probably why you're getting that message.

The country code can be found with Google

What do you expect to be different with mobiles? Try dialing the country code then the mobile number as you seem to have understood.

Are you even sure you have the correct number? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/+61#Mobile_phone_numbers_.2804.29 suggests 09 doesn't exist...

edit: but a Google suggests 0912 is a valid number, maybe Wikipedia is a bit out of date...

The mobile number I have is 0912, but every time I dial 00 61 0912 and so on it doesn't ring, I don't get it

I know that in America you dial for mobiles 00 61 4 then 0912 and so on, but what about in the uk, I tried the 4 in front and it didn't work

drop the lead zero off the number (00 61 912) and you might have some luck
