pretty good spec but I would definately go for a d0 chip and pay the extra as overclocking results are coming back great for them compared to the c0 versions

As an Antec 900 owner I would either be happy with a dusty case or plan for keeping the dust out from day one, or choose a case with filters on the front intake fans.

Cheaper without going second hand? Only thing you could cut down is the ram to 3gb or the gfx card to anything cheaper.

You haven't said what it's going to be used for, so its hard to be more specific.

what case would you suggest, that has a good airflow + window?, I might go centurion but it dosent have a window :(

Also the sunbeam isnt i7 compatible anyway, Id 2nd going for the D0 stepping, if youre not OCing then just use the retail cooler provided, but its still a better chip. Case wise the 900-2 is the same as 900 but with new extras incl filters etc
Edit: both of these actually push your cost up not down, sry

If you are willing to push the boat out a little further then the Silverstone Fortress with positive air pressure looks very good @ £137.99?

If not the Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case @ £118.44 is a good quite case with filtering.

For a "make this cheaper" thread there's at least 3 posts recommending more expensive parts :-)

The only way to get it more than about £20 cheaper is to drop the GPU to a 4850/9800 or lower, or bring yourself back into Core2 territory. Pretty much everything else is as barebones as I'd like to make it. Cutting back the RAM, for example, and you'd probably be just as well off with a Q9xxx; it'll hold your i7 back.

im going for the icore7 as itll hold more for future upgrades etc.... was reccomended this before :( too many spaced out opinions

I'd say bite the bullet - you aren't going to make that any cheaper without reducing the GPU. There's not really such thiing as a full i7 rig for much less than £800 (and that's with a GPU drop frop where you are)

orderd but with the centurion and a couple of fan filters :D

My biggest bug bear of the the 900 is how much dust gets in and how quickly. good move and as to spec'ing some thing more expensive some times its the only way to get what you want/need.
