Since 201, Ive been using Ferrite beads on my headphone lead conected to my mobile phone. These beads are used a lot on electical items to "kill" off any unwanted EMI radiation interferance. So I thought it they can stop this radiation traveling down cables Id add one to my hands free. It is known that any cable comming out of a mobile phone can act as an anntena. Research has shown 3 times more radiation is assorbed when people using an earphone over using the phone strait on the ear!
Anyway just noticed this artical on the BBC

Ferrite beads only cost less than a few pounds and if you listen to your phone as a walkman or use hands free its worth putting one on your cable... even for a cleaner signel if you not worried about possible health risks.
Why dont phone makers put ferrite beads on cables yet computer companys always do now ? Simple, if they started they would admit mobile radiation may be harmful and it would cost more too.
