Yes, my mate was already on there. So i joined him. Im not really into RP but better to play with people than not.

Add Demondog and demondruid to your friends. I cant whisper as im on a trial account until you make me a friend

Im being serious. Most players will laugh at you for a name like that on normal servers, let alone rp ones. You sure as hell wouldnt stand a chance getting in many decent guilds.. I can picture your app getting torn apart on our forums right now.

wasnt going to put it as harshly as that, but if you want some respect on RP realms and to be taken seriously...get yourself some decent lore abiding char names.

people will just think your a 14 year old boy with names like that and avoid you for guild/raiding etc etc.

especially on alliance, people get away from the childish PVE servers to go to the RP realms due to the natural increase in maturity level on them (except goldshire....avoid it like the plague). So attitudes are a bit more snooty on them because of this.

Hehe, I remember a time on the RP server on LOTRO where I saw a hobbit named Rehsams Niarb. Didnt think it was too bad until I realised that it was actually Brain Smasher in reverse :D
 
The OCUK WOW Alliance guild was on Moonglade but it merged with a raiding guild, last i heard they had Naxx on farm.

I was the guild master of the OCUK Alliance guild but i left at 80 due to my inability to raid because of my rl commitments, ive recently rolled 4 new toons on argent dawn and earthen ring to level up casually and see where it takes me.

Well Ive used demondog as a call name for about 15 years and I like it, so that is the main thing. If people dont let me join a "decent" guild because of my name then I wont lose too much sleep over it.

Maybe my other character could have had more imagination but it was like 4am and I entered a dozen names and they were taken. So I went with it.

Can you even change names once they are done?

Not all guilds on RP servers are full of the RP freaks who take it way too seriously. A lot of raiding guilds use RP servers because they are quieter and populated by less morons.

My raiding guild had an alt guild on an RP server for second raids when the main was full, or on special occasions like patch days or whatever when the main server was rammed. We'd take any name on.
 
1. Seriously, on a RP realm, you are going to find people just instantly ignoring you for parties etc., let alone guilds, with a name like that.

2. Its £6, christ. Or, if you're that tight just re-roll.
 
th 6 quid is nothing when you put it in perspective to what youd actually spend 6 quid on. But i also agree with all the others in saying youve stayed away 18 months and was proably your best move you could have done. But your choice.

1. If people want to ignore me for my name, I am not really interested in playing with these sad losers. I have already stated that I have friends on there so it doesnt matter.

2. It has nothing to do with being tight. I never even cared about what my name was to begin with. If it were free to change I might have changed one but I am not paying £6 when I dont really care about peoples opinions.

Next you will be saying I have to dress up as a giant elf to get accepted for parties lol. Please its just a game, if you dont want to say anything friendly go else where.
 
think people are over-reacting.

seriously, id reroll with some rp names for your chars or reroll onto saurfang, you MAY find yourself struggling on an RP server with your chosen names, there is some seriously hard core RP freaks out there.

You'll learn as you level up that people will be wary of you just on your char name, and you might say "i dont want to play with them then", but at the end of the day, it is you that will suffer as its an MMO and you need other people to play it.
