MOT and Road Tax question.

Hi,

Background Information
I bought a used motorcycle on 16th April 2009.
It was purchased from new by the original owner on 20 May 2006.
Its Road Tax expires 30th May 2009.
I currently, only have the new keepers details document V5C/2.

Road Tax
I need to get a new Road Tax Disc.
How far in advance can the Road Tax Disc be purchased?

MOT
At what point will an MOT be due (as I understand it, the vehicle is MOT exempt for 3yrs from new)?

MOT is due on the 21st of May 2009. Tax can be purchased IIRC in the last two weeks of the month it expires.

This, also don't worry about not having the full V5, if you take the V5C to the post office they'll accept that.

The New Owners green slip is enough for the Tax.
Tax can be purchased from the 15th of the month it expires.

I got my tax reminder letter a couple weeks ago saying I could purchase anytime after the 5th of April. The tax runs out end of April. I got a new tax disc that runs to end of April 2010 last week.

Daniee, you're right. Sure it was the 15th last time i renewed but my latest one is the 5th also.
