Hey all, Im not as good to all this as most people who know me already know this because Im asking questions to compare other PC to what Im thinking of and Its always confusing.

I do get basic stuff about processors and graphic cards and CPU's ect. Just other things like all the extra things you need with your PC.

I have a budget of £2000:GBP mabey go a bit over it if needed. But I would like someone to post up what would be a good setup, which would last me and play the latest games, and I know Crysis as well. Try Inc Monitor in that 20" prefered.

Thanks!

I would prefer a 20" monitor not dual, more on the Geforce side, or something equal to GTX 295. Please keep more of them coming, Id like a range of peoples setups so I can choose =D

Water Cooling would be cool :) Just a thing, If its possible in budget add that in, or say if you dont think its needed..

If you go for an SSD make sure you get one that uses SLC and not MLC, the latter is slower. I think there's a new Corsair SSD that's 64GB and very reasonable for the price too.

Why would you even put aside that much money for a Gaming PC? Do you want it to play the games itself aswell?

Well, I decided that I should pay a good solid price for a PC then I can enjoy games at a good FPS and not need to upgrade it a lot for at least a year or to. I have had my old PC for ages now and I fancied getting something a bit more better and nicer since mine is still in a tiny case and dont play the games I like at a respectable FPS. Also I like Crysis so thats another reason :p

I've seen a lot worse than this, £2000 isn't actually that bad a budget.

I'll offer my spec into the mix.

This system will overclock like nothing else, paired with the GTX295 will be an awesome gaming machine. I know you said a 20" monitor, but you really want a 24" with power like this ;)

This is obviously pretty high end, you can get a gaming PC for a lot less and will still destroy games. To make it cheaper, drop the SSD for a samsung F1, the GTX295 for a GTX260/275, along with a cheaper PSU, the blu-ray drive for a standard dvd-rw drive, the CPU cooler (If you don't plan on overclocking) etc. This would save you well over £500 and still be a good performer.

I suppose it comes down to what you need your money for.

I have a perfectly suitable Gaming PC for less then 1/2 that cost. You don't need a solid state drive, you don't need a £130 PSU, you don't a £130 Case...etc :P

Saying that, I will no doubt have a gander at making you a PC for the silly amount of money you have requested :P

People complain at it being too much to spend on a PC, but, it's a more reasonable amount than that ExtremeGamer bloke...

Good luck with the build and give loads of pics! :)

Cool thanks a lot people, feel free to keep posting your setups, I do like the idea of the GTX 295 but what if you had 2x GTX 285, wouldnt that work out better than just getting a single card?

EVGA GeForce GTX 285 "Superclocked 55nm"?

The 295 is basically 2 x 275's on one card, so technically it is 2 cards. 2 x 285's would be better, but a lot more expensive, almost £600 for 2 . As haj pointed out, 2 4890's would be a good option, cheaper than the 295 and will beat it in most games. I know you said you prefer nvidia, but ATi do offer some awesome cards. I've went back and forward from ATi and nvidia, have no preference, just buy the best card available.
