For the record I do not think Kim is the reincarnation of Jesus and he is brilliant and any other superlative you care to label him with, I just think that this country is in no fit state to start commenting on the state of other nations, when ours is in complete turmoil.

Maybe if things like this did exist we wouldn't have the problems we do have. But the people who make the rules don't have the balls to implement such things.

I know !!! My bus was 2 minutes late this morning, and i read critical things about the government in the newspaper !

I'd much rather not have newspapers, or tv. Roads and food are overrated too.

Edit: that's by the HDI, which isn't particularly good at measuring standard of living in countries like NK, since the problems there are social rather than economic.

north koreans probably think its strange that we have fancy expensive
shops that sell things they make over there for 10pence

and the propaganda tv thing just sounds like bbc news. they say the west is bad just like for years we did the same about the east

its interesting but doesnt show it as an awful awful place that youd expect. just seems a bit behind the times like most poor countrys

You simply can't compare the UK and North Korea. Sure, this country has problems (albeit nowhere near as severe as people like you make them out to be), but they're absolutely negligible compared to North Korea's problems.
