Will 02 let me do this?

Right, I currently have an 18month contract with 02 through DialAPhone (rubbish).

I pay £35 a month and the term is 18months. I took the contract out on 25th March 2008 and sold the free handset (N95 8GB) as soon as i got it. I went out and bought a 2g iPhone and unlocked it and used my sim with the phone.

I really fancy getting a 3g iPhone and will still be going through 02. Would they allow me to swap my contract over early instead of waiting till September or whenever its over. That way i will keep my number and still be an 02 customer?

Ive been a customer of 02 since i was 17 on a different number and my girlfriend uses this sim now but its still in my name.

Or do they not do this? I will ring them and check but thought i would ask the question whilst im at work lol.

Unlikely - not this soon. You signed an 18 month contract not a 13 month contract.

o2 is usually in the last month only for upgrades. but try their website. Type in your number and it'll give you an upgrade code and a list of available contracts and phone.

Yeh. Is there anyway to cancel the contract? I know you have to pay a fee. Is it the remainder of what the 5 monthly payments would be?

They used to have an early upgrade offer for the iPhone, but they no longer do. Now you'll have to wait till you're allowed to upgrade.

If you want to terminate early, then it's (no. of months x line rental)

£175 :O wonder how much id get for my 2g iPhone on eBay

Also, if i was to terminate the current contract can i still keep my number and then take out another contract?

I got to upgrade my 18 month contract after 15 months.
Im a "select" customer which means I get certain benefits/discounts etc - one of which is I can upgrade early.

yes you can get the pac code.
Why not just phone up and ask.

whts the point in paying out to end your contract? keep the contract and give it to someone else for like 15 quid x number of months left. That way you loose less and they get a bargin or something.

Failig that just keep it, might as well if you payin the money anyway arnt you.
