Time for a little more power

£500 is surley cheapish for a brand new set of webers?

Didn't even know you could still get webers brand new!

What are these going on?

I thought it wasn't too bad for a new pair. I swear they were more than that before. The way I saw it was a second hand pair costs quite a bit, then with the rebuild kits and a set of jets and chokes it's pretty close to what I paid, except this way I get the new style carb with the better fuelling, all the seals are brand new and no wear on the spindles. Seems they had stopped making them but someone took them over and continued production.

Bike carbs wouldn't suit it, it's an all 60's style Anglia.

Very nice, what sort of power will you be looking at ?

I used to have a RS Mexico with a 2.1lt pinto and twin 45's and had about 150bhp out of it which is mad when you think of modern engines but cars back then didn't weigh very much :)

How would that work then? Planning on cutting one of the carbs in half?

No, that's one venturi for every cylinder then? 3x2 = 6? You'd need downdraughts though, IDAs or similar.

I have twin 40 DHLA's on my Midget the induction noise is addictive. A spanish company is now producing brand new weber's as they aquired all the tooling AFAIK.

what car are those going on?
Pay attention at the back :D

Should be pushing mid to high 140's with a bit of luck. Not bad for an old 1500cc Cortina engine ;)

This seems to be where mine are from. I hope the quality is there, looks like there are a few improvements and a few new jetting holes comparing them with my old ones :)
