Gaming PC (£2000 Budget)

I am going to put the 320GB drives into RAID0. Also changed to 1000w psu anyway, come in use if I ever added another graphic card.

That PSU is definitely not needed, If you want modular go for a be quiet, you don't need to stick with corsair, although they are good, there are others out there just as good. As for adding another card, in this situation another 4890, good luck fitting it on that board, In my opinion I wouldn't bother even attempting it.

Both of these are excellent PSU's, enough power (and more) for your needs. Also both are quiet and modular.

Switched the PSU with Zalman ZM750-HP Heatpipe Cooled 750W Modular Power Supply, to save money really. Thanks Ro55o

I have changed the PSU back to the Corsiar PSU because the Zalman one doesnt support my graphic cards because it only has 2 slots for PCI-E cables
and 2x my cards require 4. So Im not really messing around id rather pay extra for corsair.

I would have thought the zalman would be okay, fair enough though. I will say that the be quiet definitely does have 4 x 6+2 pin PCI-E cables. Still £70 cheaper than the corsair. Just trying to save you a bit of money here.

Thanks anyways for helping, but Im gunna stick with Corsair, I have one already and its done this PC good.

cant think of anything better than this for your budget and i wouldnt go crossfire. SLI gives you more piece of mind

why 20" that is tiny and buying any of the top gfx cards will be a waste, let alone sli/xfire. You should be looking for 24" minimum and probably 26" for a 2k build.

How about mouse/keyboard/speakers?
How much storage do you need?
do you need a blu-ray drive?

Im still on monitor which has 1024x786 as the res. going from that to a 24" seems masive to me, but I am going for a 24" because Im going crossfire so shame to waste on a small monitor.

Better deal how exactly and what are these huge problems you seem to think exist with crossfire that don't exist with sli ??? both of them have equal problems and also equal solutions for the people that are prepared to put a bit of time and effort into sorting them. As for specs you've really got your pick of decent ones so some fine tuning by you on what you personally prefer and your done. Hope the build goes well for you and you enjoy playing with your new pc m8 :).

Looking at this thread i've found some good ideas lol, im looking to build a pc around this mark :D... still don't get how 4890's can beat the gtx 295 lol...
