I'm a stage 1 student at present, but haven't had any e-mails/ letters about reapplying for next years student loan.

Does anyone know when we need to reapply for it?

Cheers

Not sure im 100% sure what your talking about...

If your starting or continuing a course in september / october of this year then you should be applying now...(I am anyways)

Oh right - I was expecting a letter to say: "If you're continuing next year, please reapply by...". I will get onto it asap.

Cheers :)

damn freshers want everything done for them :P back in my day etc etc etc

Thankfully i was the first year to get the online system and the last year to not pay top up fees :)

Yes? but it still goes on parents money figures when applying for the grant / loan doesnt it?

Since you won't be working the year you're at university, surely they should only be looking at your parents income and any projected income you wil have in that year? Or do they ignore any income you fill in for personal work income assuming that you won't be working at a full time course anyway?

I always thought the amount you pay to the uni when on a placement year is significantly less that a normal year?

Yeah it is. I think mine is about half the amount. I also think I get less of a loan too. I remember seeing some figures for it last year.

I have a placement interview tomorrow morning!!
