I love girl's that mod...

Does it? I'm not really convinced Plymouth is significantly worse than other cities in the UK to be honest. It certainly has it bad bits, but all places do.

It's like those awkward TV jokes when they go "blah blah blah, Woking" and that somehow gets a laugh.

Plymouth is a lot nicer city than most in this country IMO.

I quite agree. The presence of the morons and the areas in which they live are not enough to ruin the experience of living here. It's a very nice part of the world which gets a lot of unfair flak, IMHO.

Where else can you drive from the centre of a city with a population of 300,000 people to the city limits in 20 minutes in the middle of rushhour? 'Bad traffic' here means you take 5 minutes longer to get where you are going.

Worst argument for somewhere being "nice" to live... EVER!

Heh, I grew up in one of the most afluent boroughs in the UK (Ribble Valley) and moved next door to the one with the most ethnic "minorities" (Hyndburn). I do like the feeling of driving from an aparent ghetto to the middle of nowhere in a matter of a few short miles.

How easy you can get around for me is very important. When driving in London it is SO stressful, going anywhere is a pain due to the sheer volume of people (idiots) on the road. Often I think sod it, stay in and fiddle with my RC stuff and play xbox. If I lived somewhere in which I could move around a bit more freely my quality of life will be much, much better and I wouldn't be so stressed out.

Then move?

Yeh I mostly agree with that, plymouth is for the most part a pretty nice place, spoilt by a minority of cretins, plymouth is a bit of a backwater though, and I think without the university it would be a lot less nice. I defiently agree about driving, it is nice and easy to get out of plymouth should you want to, even during very busy hours. You've got beaches, and the moors, within 20 minutes drive of the centre.

Its very much the same for me at home in swindon, but I think swindon is a fair bit nicer than plymouth. I live in the surrounding coutryside, but am only about 10 minutes drive from the centre which is great really. I can't imagine what it would be like to be properly stuck in a city like london, would feel so claustrophobic.

Just awful and obvious jealousy that they have to ruin someones hard time and effort spent.

I had a simular problem with a neighbour from around my area. I used to wash my 350z every Saturday and spend a good few hours detailing it. For me it was more a hobby and kept me entertained at weekends. After the first few times I never had any problems, but then all of a sudden I'd wake up Sunday morning and eggs would have been thrown at it. In the end I set a night vision camera up and found out it was a 40 year old guy from across the street doing the damage.

I just don't understand how anyone would do anything like that, a fully grown man ffs!

Some spoilt 19 year old bratt drove past me once drink driving and her passengers lobbed bottles at the bar I was sitting in, shattering less than a metre away. She's parked across my street. Now in THIS case you could possibly see why I would go and key her car (I didn't by the way) but why people just vandalise cars for the sake of it I have no idea.
