How much are plugs these days? Just run of the mill NGKs, nothing special. It's been years since I bought them, but being the skinflint I am I'd rather wipe out my local trade and buy them online if it saves me 50p

About £9 delivered for 4 seems to be the best price I can find for BP7ES's's. I swear they were nearer to £12 last time?

With a Halfords trade card a set of NGK copper core plugs for a Zetec SE engine came to £7. The NGK plugs are pretty good value.

I really could do with a trade card. Need tools and servicing bits for the SAAB :(

I paid £24 for 4 plugs for the 206 last year from Peugeot as Halfords didn't have them. Plugs can be expensive.

When I worked in parts last year, most standard NGK spark plugs we sold were about £1.50-£2.50 each.

Lucky you don't own an RX-7, they're usually £7+ each :) Luckily I bought about 20 from the US when the exchange rate was good....they were $6 each.

I really dont know much about the detail of how cars work, but i think the spark plug is only used to start the engine? If so, why do you get 'special' spark plugs?

Halfords trade card ***.

Although its hard to know how cheap something will be untill you take it to the till. I have got two H4 bulbs for 48p which had a shelf price of around £9.

I have also purchased gearbox oil for around £8 or £9 and only received a discount of 50p

I got mine on trade card at halfords, about £5 i think. You got loads of receipts for car stuff Jonny? If so if you havent already got a trade card then get one.
