A man and his pet bear

ok, proof please of a dog attacking its owner. bearing in mind that the dog has to be raised since a pup by this owner. I know that you wont find any cases. It doesnt matter if an animals species are wild, if that animal is brought up in a domestic environment it will act in accordance. Animals arent stupid..

I know personally of someone whos pet dog attacked them randomly. So there goes your theory. Animals are not stupid, but they are not particularly intelligent either. They follow instinct. If an animal that has been domesticated for thousands of years can turn on its owner, I'm pretty sure a wild animal can too.

I can certainly see the upsides to having a pet bear.

I'm trying to picture the look on the door to door salesman or local Jehovah's Witness face when they ignore the very clear signs about no salesman/hawkers or peddlers of monotheistic religious doctrines, and 'Barny' the 800lb grizzly goes tearing up the drive after them, bellowing like someone has just nicked his salmon. Hehe :D ..handy deterrent to future annoyances I think.

I'm not sure I fancy footing the food bill for a bear though, that could get fairly hefty I imagine.

For some reason I find the picture of the bear sat at the table really odd and funny.

I wonder if the bear walks around the house by itself or if it follows the owner around constantly. Im trying to imagine the owner sat reading the paper in the morning, and Brutus comes walking in after waking up, and then sitting beside him.

watch Grizzly Man if you haven't already.

Those bears are in the wild
I mean look at the cases of humans that have grown up around wolfs

They walk around on all 4s and act like wolves and try to bite people they feel threatened by. Its all down to how you are raised in my opinion. They way the brain works when growing up

Im guessing that bear has no concept of hunting at all. Gets all his food given to him

Yes It could kill him accidently, no different from a snake or spider biting his owner
