To tell or not to tell?

Get your nuts, who gives a crap if it works out or not? nuts getting = the priority.

haha, if it was generally any other girl, I would tell her in the blink of an eye.

But its just that I don't find many girls who have SO much in common, so I wouldn't want to wreck a great friendship...

Shock news as otherwise sensible question provokes anti-religous circlejerk.

Don't do it. Paul said that Christians should "not be yoked together with unbelievers". It's almost guaranteed not to work, and could hinder your faith in the process.

Well. my fiancee is Scottish/Pakistani Muslim and I'm a white scottish athiest. To be honest the religous thing never becomes a problem because we don't bother with each others beliefs, its a mutual "each to their own" situation.

There are two problems, and one of them is pretty non-existant now. Her family wern't too understanding. Now though they are pretty fine, they got to know me. :-P

The only thing that is a problem anymore is people outside our famailies. Multi-cultural relationships are still a pretty big taboo in the UK, which I didn't realise beforehand. But as bad as it sounds, you get used to it...eventually.

and by the way, we were friends for about 6 years before we started dating, so it's never too late. Just let it develop, don't go diving in. take things slow....she even turned me down the first time!!! But she pittied me so agree'd the next, which was 3 days later. lol

The only issue here is her religion is different to yours. Wouldn't work. She might not be religious but at the end of the day, she is a Muslim. Depending on how her family are if she was to go out with you and her family finding out, things would be different for her, her family could even disown her.

What's her Race?

She is half egyptian, quarter greek and Turkish, I am half Egyptian and English, but the Egyptian side of my family is all christian....

I don't know. You could tell her but you may lose a friendship. And if you don't, you may lose her to someone else. Difficult situation.

Just do what your heart says.

Eh, that is a posibilty but you make it sound like it's definetly gonna happen. Believe me it's harder than it should be to impress the family of someone who is another race/religion to yours, but it's not impossible...do you have any experience with this?

Thats exactly why I wanted views on this forum, because it could go either way...
My heart is saying just tell her that you like her, even if you aren't going to go out, just so she knows.

But my head is saying dont tell her, because we might not be as close.

why does religion seem to be the excuse of everything bad? if you feel like telling her - tell her. if you don't - don't.

i don't think jesus or allah really come into any part of that.

boy likes girl. boy asks girl out. etc. it is that simple and the only time religion will be mentioned is as an excuse. be honest - if only to yourself.

I agree, if you don't make religion a part of it she won't. Her family may though, as older people tend to be a bit more stuck in their ways, so some sweet talking might be needed there...in the least light hearted manner possible.

If boy is Christian, boy should be familiar with the passage I quoted above and should understand it's not in the best interests of his faith.

Just ask her out. From a faith point of view, you will test yours which is healthy for you and could end up reinforcing what you believe or changing it for the better. From a man's point of view, you get to stick it in her.

Oh my god, another thread revolving around issues with female friends. Go and talk to your real life friends!

This is a discussion forum, not a "lets decide what you should do" forum!
