Hello all, i've basically built up my own spec of around 1500£ for a gaming PC, the things where i'm not as educated on, such as the Motherboard in's and outs, RAM and Optical drives, so i've just filled those up with things I recognise basically, but i'm sure they can be changed

but anyway here's the spec :

Like I mentioned earlier those components need to be changed a bit I think, i've looked at that Motherboard a lot, and I really like it, but I understand it's pricey so if you got better suggestions i'll happily hear them, I bought 2 SSD's so I can raid 0 them for the OS and Games, but if you got a better SSD suggestion i'd happily hear it, the PSU may be a little weak, but again I just added that for the sake of building a spec up that i'd like, although it comes to 1700£, i'm willing to push the boat out a little bit from 1500£ if need be, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you :D

I still think your image link is broken - had to view it by copying the image url and viewing in new tab.

I would be tempted to get a more powerful PSU (perhaps 750W+), a cheaper mobo (ASUS P6T or Gigabyte UD5), a cheaper DVD drive, and possibly (with the money saved on those revisions) a GTX 295 or 2 X 4890's depending on whether you prefer Nvidia or ATI.

Other than that, looks good.

Ah sorry, I fixed the image now, always a force of habbit to copy the url off the Imageshack site, rather than the pictures direct jpg link haha :p, but thanks for the advice, I lowered the GPU because for a little while at least I wont be upgrading my monitor, so for the time being i'd like a powerful GPU now, but one that can also handle it's own on a bigger monitor too, but thanks for the help ;D

Well, if that's the way you want it, spend a little bit more for 2x4890s.

Raid 0 with vertex drives is probably not worth the effort. I'd suggest a single 60gb one, the speed is still ridiculous and all the hassle that comes with raid is avoided

Yeh you may be right, raiding probably isnt that necessary, and, I prefer Nvidia if i'm honest, when it comes to GPU's, it's just peace of mind, knowing what you're getting, but these are good suggestions

Have you ordered it yet?
If you haven’t I would suggest a Biostar Tpower motherboard , because there the best combination with the D0 Stepping Cpu’s, and it would save a bit of money , which could be spent on a better PSU

Ok thank you for the suggestions guys ;D, but would you say a SSD for the OS and Games is worth it? do you really notice the speed of it?

Well baring in mind i'm coming from IDE HDD's, I really hope i'll notice a big difference haha :P, i'm coming from a

3000+
6600GT
2GB RAM

and the PC i'm currently using is a

P4 2.6ghz I believe, perhaps 2.3, i'd have to check
Radeon 9200
512mb RAM

So I really do hope this PC will blow me away haha :p
