where would you live in the uk given chance

Up near Stirling, work there and it's a great area. Otherwise it'd be Cornwall or perhaps one of those highland cottages I keep renting in the middle of nowhere with only wood burning fires.

Assuming I didn't have to work ;)

Somewhere in Scotland, not sure where really. But yeah it would have to be there or somewhere very very south for nice-ish weather.

Nice to see theres a lot of Scotland comments in this thread :)

Many places spring to mind though the most local to where I live, if you know it, would be Findon Village in West Sussex. Part of Worthing.

15,000 acres in Suffolk would be nice!!

Actually, Edinbourgh is quite appealing, shame it's so far from anywhere else.

Without a doubt... St Ives, Cornwall

Great views, great booze, lots of pasties and ice cream and more vicious seagulls than you could shake a very large stick at!

Either the mountainous region of North Wales, somewhere in Cardigan Bay such as New Quay, or maybe the Mumbles in the Gower (Catherine Zeta-Jones's £2M house in Limeslade would suit me).

Without a doubt... St Ives, Cornwall
I once met a polygamous man from round that way who had a rather large collection of domestic animals.

Iceland (not the frozen food store)

I know it isn't (technically) within the British Isles but it is way better than anywhere here so that is where I would rather be. :)

Well, if we're bending the rules then I'd like to move back to the Cote d'Azur... either Menton if staying in France or pop over into Monte Carlo.

Or Tokyo.

All these places are way better than anywhere here too.... if you've got the cash to splash.
