I always love something sweet after me lunch and mains (but not everyday). Probably means I am going to have a heart attack at 40 but hey what u gonna do.

Faves are:

A biscuit after lunch (anything really)
Cheesecake
Lemon Meringue
Chocolate fudge cake
Crumbles and pies
Brulee
Bread and butter pudding

My missus has cheese and biscuits when we go out! Its just not right!!

Just made this with some rhubarb I got at my local farm shop this afternoon:

Rhubarb crumble with jersey double cream nom nom nom

Eating it inspired me to create this thread!!

I understand that this could evolve into a useful thread with recipes and stuff, but -

What kind of a question is 'who loves dessert'? You can't name 5 people you've ever met who DON'T like some sort of pudding. It's as GD-quality as 'who is enjoying the weather'? MUrr, hoo lykes sunshyne and warmth also like me?

Anyway, profiteroles are lovely, as is tiramisu, as are a vast number of another deserts. Please post pics too!

OMG forgot about Profiteroles and tiramisu!!

One of my favourite recipes for cheesecake is gordon ramsays no bake berry cheesecake. Takes about ten minutes to make and is amazing!!

Google it and it is under timesonline!!

Try making it for your missus. Its easy and she will think your a food god!

I'm not a huge dessert eater! I mean, I love desserts and sweet things, but if it comes down to it in a restaurant, I generally fill up with starter and main, and pass on dessert. My girlfriend on the other hand, likes the main and a dessert.

Oh the stories I could tell! We should be in a sitcom together!

Since I became allergic to chocolate I've sort of never needed to go down almost an entire aisle in shops. It meant that I grew distant away from sweets in general. So now I never have dessert.

Pudding after food is essential. Biscuits after lighter meals.

It's easier just to list things I don't like :D

Treacle tart
Trifles
Christmas Pudding
Things with almonds

The syrup sponge and custard they used to serve at my school was the food of gods. Ive never managed to find anything remotely similar in the supermarket.

Hardly ever have starters or dessert if I'm honest. Might have a bar of chocolate once in a blue moon though should I get a sweet-tooth. :)

School desserts were awesome.

Anyone remember chocolate crunch? Chiselling your spoon into it until a bit flew off into some poor girls eye ;)

No but we had something called cornflake tart that required indutrial tools to break it up. Had to wait for the custard to soften it up unless you wanted your front teeth removed :D.

One of the main things i miss about school was the awesome food.

As much as I love desserts, I'm more of a savoury guy nowadays. I love a massive main course.

This is my favourite dessert: baklava:

Filo pastry, nuts, and drenched in honey. Om nom nom.
