Since I was a wee bread snapper I've drawn cars. Hot Rods, concepts and general tat. Hope you don't mind me sharing one of my latest (and a rod from last year). Purely for fun and maybe makes a change. On the design tip, I try to keep them 'real', mechanically plausible and perhaps a little conservative or traditional too. Usually I begin with a simple drawing and take the good stuff to 3d.

I've just named it Roadster 2009. Not a very imaginative name I know. Suggestions welcomed. And perhaps what kind of engine/driveline config you might imagine it being. I don't post these things around willy nilly but figured I've been here long enough and finally built enough faith to perhaps share a little more. i do need to get out more lol. Enjoy I hope.

Scale/footprint might be somwhere in the region of a slightly large VX 220.

I guess while I'm at it I'll throw one more out there. A slightly more radical rod dedicated to Jr Motorsports. Apologies if the latter is horribly oversize.

The other thing I remember is the supercharged Shelby Mustang going round Snett this last Friday. From pitwall listening to it hurtle up the straight. If you could grab a noise and canoodle with it I would have. :D
 
wow, those are some pretty impressive drawings. Loving the idea of a supercharged M3 engine in the first one. All carbon panels, space frame chassis, inboard suspension, would be awesome an setup.

I've had the unlucky curse of putting up with my good friend Fido turning up @ my house for years for a session on Battlefield & the like, when he's waiting for a game he sits & doodles..... The bloody things are cluttering the place up! :D

Some doodles! I keep them all and use my crappy picture as a display of his recent work! :D

I have a folder full of others somewhere, I may post them later if he don't mind. :)



Your talents are wasted spannering M3's my friend, wasted. :cool:

Very nice drawings and some very lovely 3d work too! I dread to think how long that took you; the 3d work alone, not even including the drawings.

Lovely job and a pretty sweet car to top it all off! :D
