Free driver detector for Vista 64 bit?

I don't know of any good ones, I never use them because I can keep track of what's what. Do you have an unknown device? You should be able to work out what you haven't installed driver-wise.

Well I just ran one that I thought was free and it found a load of drivers out of date that I wouldn't normally check. The program said it was a free download. However, to actually get the program to go and update the drivers you need to pay for it. I hate that sort of marketing ...

Sounds possibly even dodgy to me.

Update your gfx drivers from AMD/nvidia site, it's easy. Update chipset drivers from mobo manufacturer site or intel etc depending on chipset. Update soundcard from companies site, and so on. It'll be much safer. What's your spec?

Q6600, Abit AN8 mobo, Creative X-Fi Fatality Soundcard, LG Blu-ray / HD-DVD drive, 4Gb RAM, Vista Home Premium 64bit ...

I usually check the websites but I thought a program set to auto update would remember to check more often than me ... :)
