Should I carry a sponge?

Silly old bint?

Dog pee stinks, I wouldn't want a dog ****ing near my pathway either.

Of course you wouldn't, but I still agree with the OP that it's a bit unreasonable to expect you to be able to control your dogs bladder or clean it up afterwards. After all, a touch of rain and the problems gone.

I would have just ignored the old loon and carried on walking my dogs.

Just carry a bottle of water with you if it really bugs you that much.

Wouldn't have bothered if a dog was doing that, as long as it's not on my property, can do it anywhere - frankly the first time it rains, which is more or less all the time it'd be washed away. anyway, good god it's not the end of the world! :)

I don't like dogs much, but I think she over-reacted!

Wee does not carry diseases, it washes away in seconds. She has nothing better to do than moan, you see people looking out of their window all day waiting for something to happen so they can moan.

I can see the old dear's point of view. I wouldn't like a dog regularly peeing up against my property.

On the other hand it's a perfectly natural thing.

What about simply taking a little spray bottle (about a pound in Poundstretchers and similar) with a dilute disinfectant solution and just give a few quick squirts when the dog "performs".

You will get loads of brownie points with the neighbours for no real effort.

When a dog cocks its leg its going to pee, so it will just be all over the wall and path in a zig zag, if it bothers you that much get a bucket of water and a brush.

Its not your path and unless it was on your property weeing or fouling then you have no reason to challenge a member of the public.

+1 seems like a easy and effortless thing to do

Far too many home owners lately seem to think the public footpath and the road outside their house somehow belongs to them. Its doesnt and this cencept seems to totally elude them.

We have a small open field at the top of our road. Its like a 100ft by 100ft square surrounded by terrace houses, you know the sort of thing. Now we take our dog on there for a wee'n'plop which we pick up of course.

Last summer someone decided to print up and tie to trees a load of notes saying "this is a CHILDRENS PLAYING FIELD!! NO DOGS!"..... erm no.. its a public field that children happen to play on. A better sign would say "please pick up after your dog as children play here". This arrogant attitude really annoys me and i see more and more of it.

I wouldnt mind but the responsible dog owners round here always pick up, its the plebs who just leave the gates open on their house and let the dogs wander around as they please that cause all the poo.

Aye, a guy in the street started to park his car at the front of his house, he only recently started doing it when a neighbour had to park there for a week or so, he has a drive and only one car and will leave it on the road just so nobody can park infront of his house.

True, and that is especially true when issues abount car parking arise. However we don't live in downtown calcutta either. There is a need to minimize sewage in the streets.
