I found an interesting website with a petition asking for Gordon Brown to resign.

with regards to "repost" i did look to see if I could find it, but I couldn't even scowering through a couple of pages.

With regards to forcing an election as opposed to forcing the prime minister to go, I'd vote for that.

Seriously, its not like there has been a Leader in History that people havnt wanted removed at some stage.
Would you resign because people hated you?

Gordon Brown was never elected in the first place, Tony Blair was ...Brown just got in because of their little 'deal' ...and should never have been able to happen in my opinion.

If he resigned now, some other unelected hand-wringing, socialist, taxaholic would be running our country. Could you imagine the likes of Harriet Harman or Ed balls at the top? ...the very idea of it makes me want a strong whiskey and a long sit-down.
