Hi Guys,

I've recently purchased a 4890 1Gb and seem to be having some problems getting good scores on Vantage, not to mention some driver issues.

So what are you getting? Orb links or score breakdowns would be great with CPU and card clock info.

Thanks,

Mark

for some reason i have been unable to upload to futuremark....keeps saying theres a config (so i bought em :() was getting about 17K at stock on 06

i havent tryed ATI tool, tbh i have downloaded just about every voltage tweak program i could find after ASUS smart dr refused to work onve the stock cooler was taken off, ATI tool was on my list but i found a program that worked with Rivatuner so i didnt bother, will post links if you want to use it :)

So you don't know what your score was @ stock in Vantage? It would be a great help to me if you could run it at stock. Just so we can compair scores.

Yeah I was just wondering, as I had lots of artifacts come up with the ATI Tool scanner, had to ease back on the overclocks to get it artifact free and stable.

Btw what 4890 1Gb did you purchase?

then what are you worried about a higher score in 3d mark ?

I'm just a little concerned that I'm not getting the same performance as other people with 4890s. All the reviews I've seen with Vantage are 10k+ but I've yet to crack 10k, even with an overclock. So just wondering if I have a faulty card.

Firstly apologies as my memory is going, my 4870 scored 10245 not 11000+ as stated but that is still more than the OP gets.

Secondly, The ReadlDeal, isn't the OP and the other posters on here comparing graphics score and not overall score so physx and cpu doesn't come into it?

The OP can't crack 10k even overclocked so something slightly adrift.

The GTX285 you linked to in that review scores 11891 so he is way behind that.

Think we got our wires crossed i thought you were refering to the guy that posted screen shots of his overclocked 4890 getting over 12k when you said thats a poor score. I only mentioned the nv cards were using physx incase some people were looking at overall scores.

If i am not mistaken in another thread i think the op mentioned his cpu was a q6600 running at stock 2.4ghz. If so that would be where the problem lies.

That's correct yes, I was hoping to find someone else with a Q6600 @ stock and a 4890 to confirm that is the problem.

If I remember correctly my 4890 gets around 10500 stock and an extra thousand on top when overclocked. This is running on an Q6600 at 3.2Ghz with 4 gigs of RAM

edit, I can set the cpu to stock speed and run the test when I get home tonight and report the results if you would like
