Hi

Just swapped and E6300 with a E7500 and my Vista score has dropped from
5.2 to 4.8???

I had the E6300 overclocked to 2.4.

Using ABIT Fatality SL1 with GeIl 800mhz ram.

Have i done something wrong???

will do,
thanks a lot.

One more thing - the BIOS has a bug in which it displays a high temperature
(mine says 92C) in the BIOS menu. I've DL CoreTemp and that says 38C.
Been running for a few hours, bechmarling etc - still reads 38!

Is this what i can expect from E7500 watercooled? (I have Zalman Res 1).

Looks like stuck sensors, my E8600 has the same.

Only thing I can suggest is check for a BIOS update.

32seconds for 1M? There is something wrong there. Was your E6300 overclocked? Just to be on the safe side I would go into the bios any reset and overclocking features and just make sure no settings are forced.

Ok my E8400 is slightly ahead performance wise but my 1M pie time is just under 12 seconds. Yours is over 2 and 1/2 times that

Hi Pulse,

everything is at stock settings - ive just flashed the BIOS and reset the CMOS before fitting the new CPU.

My 6300 was OC to 2.4.

Still you'd think E7500 @ 2.9 would be a lot quicker???

Download and run orthos or any app that loads the cpu. Run it with cpu-z running also and see if the multiplier jumps up to a higher figure as soon as orthos get going, that'll confirm if speedstep is enabled in the bios.:)
