Flights to New Orleans?? HELP!! NFL Fans here too..

Why is it that they are sooooooo expensive??

I want to go watch my team play next season but they prices are a joke, they are all 800+

Google isnt my friend today!!

What im wanting to do it go watch a game next year and stay like a week maybe 2? What i need it help with finding a decent hotel and flights, i dont wana spend more than like 2k.. and i dont wana get close to that if i dont have to!

Let me know your tips people!

New Orleans isn't a tourist destination, thus the flights aren't particularly cheap. You might find it easier to fly to Florida, and get an internal flight to New Orleans.

Try New York as well, but it'll be quite a long internal flight from there.

Why don't you try and get to see them when they play the Bucs in Tampa rather than heading to New Orleans?

Who are they playing? and is it near the Superbowl play offs? If it's a big team then tickets can be hard to come by. I know that some of the larger teams have a huge waiting list for season tickets, in some cases you have to take out life insurance with the team as beneficiary to be a season ticket holder :eek:

When do you want to go next year ? Can get flights via Chicago on ba.com for under £500 each inc taxes etc flying in Feb for example..

edit - just seen you want to go in December, even cheaper at £468 each for beginning of December

How you manage that?

Im wanting November now.

I dont mind who they play and we will more than likely try get tickets before purchasing any flights.

Have a look at flying into Biloxi/Gulfport and travelling on from there. I used to have to fly over to the Southern States quite a lot and always found Biloxi (MS) and Montgomery (AL) to be very cheap for some reason.

Biloxi is your best bet though as it's much closer to New Orleans.

Just had a quick look there, seems you'll be able to fly to Gulfport/Biloxi in December for £411. I believe that was with Continental.

I usually fly with Delta into Atlanta and transfer to an internal flight from there. Very quick and easy. I can also recommend Delta for their upgrades and staff. I've been upgraded to business/1st the last 5 out of 6 times with them simply by asking nicely.

Those are military areas, so more flight activity = lower rates. Good call. That would be a much easier commute than from Chicago or New York.

How would you ask them that and how much more would it cost?

Is that £411 each? or for 2 of us? I suppose its each..
