They were good when I saw them on the American Idiot tour. Need to have a good listen to the new album before I consider buying tickets.

The new single isnt great.

I saw em at The Bowl in MK, it was great but im not sure I could put up with the whole "LETS GET SOME KID SOME DUDE AND SOME CHIC TO COME ON STAGE AND PLAY OUR SONG" and then spend about 30-40mins doing so.

I'l prob buy a couple tickets just incase a few mates do wanna go though. If not il flog em on to someone at work....

They crashed so hard when they released American Idiot :/

WTF...?

Best album since Dookie and possibly one of the greatest "come back" albums (after a 4 year break of no albums, iirc).

I believe they also hold some sort of record with the Milton Keynes venues in terms of size of gigs in the U.K (no source), when they did do the American Idiot tour, which was superb.

Anyway, I find your statement quite shocking! Each to their own though ;)

They've done that at every gig I've seen them at! Even festivals!

yea I know :D they do it a lot :p

I'm just not sure I can be bothered to put up with it again lol

I think it's a good break because again, at the gigs I've seen them at, they played at least 2-2.5hrs.

It's also different every time, once at Reading '03/'04 they got some people on stage and after 5 mins realised they were all capable of the very simple 3 cord song they were about to be playing. The guitarist (16?), at the end when they had to give instruments back, started some sick tapping and emulating a Metallica song (pure showboating).

The crowd went mad and you could see Billy Joe snatch back his axe whilst shooting a look of contempt at the kid...funny stuff.

WTF?! No Newcastle... again! I saw them once at the Metro Arena and they were awesome. Best gig hands down that I've seen. (Only seen a few, such as Foo Fighters, The Darkness and Metallica). But why not again. Sigh! :(

What price do people rekon these are going to be? I have seen them before, but I'm undecided on wether to go or not.

It's been confirmed £35 before booking fee. £22.50 last time round. I nearly choked on my corn flakes when I saw the price.

Hmmm so all in about 40 quid each. Really not sure if I want to pay that, but I like a good gig, plus i've payed stupid money to see the killers this year, I should be able to take a hit of 40 for green day.

pfft seetickets has the ususal "service is currently busy"

tbh Im not that bothered about it really. 40quid is quite steep imo
