Going to Oulton park tomorrow afternoon.

Just running through what Ill need/should check.

Need to empty car of all loose stuff tomorrow morning.
Tyres - All almost new, 1000 miles on them.
Brakes, almost new front pads and discs all round
Radiator/cooling, again almost new.
Helmet - Check.
Long Sleeved top - Check.
Oil level - Almost on max, hard to tell as my drive isnt flat.

With tyres, obviously they will be getting a lot warmer than on the road, is it worth reducing them by a couple of PSI all round when cold or not to bother?

Torque wrench - check your wheel nuts now and again
Block of wood - chock the wheels so you don't have to use the handbrake after you come in after a session (you could leave it in gear but I prefer to let the engine run for a few minutes)
Spare brake pads - I take a set of old pads with me just in case I wear a set out
Various tools - Just in case it breaks down ;)

Since ive got to drive the car there and back I wont be over-filling it as I dont want to damage anything else.

Not worth taking a small bit of oil to overfill when you get there which will no doubt burn off during the day.

Take oil with you.

No point overfilling, a track is where oil is most likely to slosh about and get past the rings, if it does, you end up with very little power, and a great smoke machine for the rest of the corner.

Oh oracle of missinformation, depends on the car doesn't it.

They're mentioned overfilling as Paradigms leon managed to suffer from Oil Starvation whilst on a track day. Not sure if the GTi-6 engine has a funny sump like the Leon though.

Didn't even know you were old enough to drive?

He's had a GTi-6 for agesss :p
