Kids are damn crazy

Nearly hit a kid on a bike yesterday. Coming round the corner from the garage is a blind corner so i was going at max 5mph. Just about round the coner and then a kid comes flying round on a bike fast as heck from the path next to it. As I am about to drive into her and with no where to go I brake and move to the left just missing the kid who flys past without a care in the world. :eek:

So I get out and then realise it scraped the wall on the left. New bumper 200 from honda painted, Splitter painted and with fitting the cost £320. :mad:

Just needed to vent. Kids these days are damn crazy. Its really not been my month keyed and then mirror broke. now this yay

Why did you have to move to the left if you were going 5mph? Your brakes not strong enough to stop you instantly at that speed? :/

Hmmmmm that's what I thought. Even my Fiesta can stop in an instant in that speed.

Sure you weren't drifting around the corner at 150mph?

I was driving through town the other day (20mph zone) and was doing <20mph...past some kids and one was so focused on the cars coming in the other direction that as soon as they passed he just started running...stopped about a centimetre away from smacking in to the side of my car. I bet if he'd run in to the side of my car I'd somehow end up getting done for it too...

An artic will stop on its nose @ 5MPH ! - You sure you were not going a tad quicker?

Anyway, as for kids & bikes, I bet you were a saint when you were younger & on a bike? No?

As an example of my own childish antics, I once thought it would be fun for a mate to give me a tow on my BMX from his LandRover(!) it ended in the accident unit!

you should try driving round cambridge, people seem to not understand road law. they will swerve accross the road without looking or signaling or signal at the last second, if they are joining a main road from a side road they wont slow down and swerve out into the road. although pedestrians aren`t that much better

haha, I'm just imagining pedestrians running about the traffic like sheep on steroids. Awesome. Perhaps clucking like chickens too. Great vision!

So yes, unlucky about having brakes made from cat hair!

you laugh but its not that far from the truth in the centre. they will stop at the kerb, look in your direction and still slowly cross the road. some will step into the road trying to walk past other people on the path and when they realise they almost got run over they do a very chickenesque hop/skip back onto the kerb

Saw something similar today, 3 kids on BMX bike, 1 on my side the other 2 on the opposite, all of a sudden the kid on my side decides he wants to be on the other side so dart straight across and does a U turn, the car coming the other way slams on its anchors so he proceeds to do a wheelie. His 2 mates are laughing their heads off. Do they know something that most sensible people and kids don't, no idea what they were thinking.

Next time al whack the kid then find the parents allthough it sounds as though some places have even crazier kids.
