Do you eat vegetables?

but then I do eat over 3.5kcals a day too :D

I should hope so too. I have about 2000-3000kcals a day ;)

Also some veggies i remember that i really like

Butterbeans, green beans, parsnips, cabbage, all salad leafs. If it wasn't for my massive love of meat, i could quite happily live of vegetables.

ooo kidney beans are amazing as well.

Can someone give me a few internet links on what to do with squashes? Someone said gem squash was just boil and mash, but how long do you boil them, and also what the hell does a gem squash look like?

Can't have a meal without a bit of veg on the plate. My dad makes a killer roast with roasted parsnips, buttered carrot soldiers, roasted butternut squash, awesome roasties, yorkshire puds, peas...

I look forward to Sundays :D

I eat a fair amount put into currys / bolognese, on their own I eat carrots, sweetcorn, corjuettes... I prefer fruit like apples, grapes, pineapples, strawberrys etc though :p

Squashes are amazing
Butternut, skin with a potato peeler than roast for about 30-45mins.
Or butternut pancakes.
Basically thick American style. Just use 2/3rds flour 1/3rd cooked and mashed butternut. Bit of maple syrup, toasted walnuts and bannan slices on top..
Also good in potato roastis. Grated potato, onion, butternut. And fry in butter.

Gem sqaush - just boil till soft about 10 minutes. Slice in half touch of butter and salt. then just scrape with a fork.

I like them but I barely ever bother to cook them. I'll have it a few times a week.

I'm not much of a fruit eater either, I like the taste but not the texture of a lot of fruits.

Awesome thats like an entire lunch. How much do they cost (averagly) and how do you store them? Do they go off, or because of the outside protection layer do they stay good for a while?

No idea of cost, have to admit haven't had them for a while. But they are great.
They will go off, but should be good for a week or two in the fridge.

Yeah, people who don't deserve a slap.
No wait, their parents need a slap for not forcing them to eat their veg.

All these parents "he doesn't like veg" well, no kid does, but thats where it starts, you have to make kids eat veg or they'll have bad eating habbits and bad health.

I don't eat enough veg, but I don't see the point in actively discarding veg in food I'm eating. Except for sprouts, bleh.

As for pooing, the easy answer to that is ground psyllium husks. Pure insoluble fibre. Couple of teaspoons of that in plenty of water and you will poo. If you do what I did and misread the dosage instructions as tablespoons rather than teaspoons, you will poo a lot more than you'd like :) That was a...busy...couple of days.

+1 :D

Increasingly I'm noticing people say they don't eat vegetables. At all. I went out for some food the other night with some folks and one scraped all the veg to one side and ate round them. A guy I used to work with never ate anything that had green parents, thought o be fair he was a bit freaky eaters.

Do you eat veg? If not, why not? Can you actually poo? :D

Pretty much all I eat.. Im vegeterian, and I consider most of the 'fake meat products' just bizzare. Some of my house mates are terrible though.

I like veg, it's often the best part of the meal if it's cooked well.

I think I could probably live happily as a vegetarian. That's not to say I don't like meat (I love meat), but I don't think I'd miss it that much.
