IE8, Firefox or Google Chrome?

^^ There are other browsers other than IE

Lost in translation. :p

Let me rephrase :

Tabs were one of the benefits, but not the sole benefit, that originally pulled me from IE and pushed me to FF. Those were the only two contenders for me, at the time.

Other wares, some of which had tabbing capability, had been sampled.. and rejected.

iron or FF for me.

iron or chrome are seriously quick in certain situations, but not 100% compatible. i always have Ff there to drop back to, or IE if i reaaaaly need to.

GReenlizard0, apparently most chrom skins work for iron also. dont think you can save session currently

I love the start up speed of Chrome, No other browser on my computer opens as quick, All default as well no addons on the other browsers.

Chrome, I love the interface mostly, it's very clean and simple. It's also very fast at rendering pages heavy with JavaScript which is a nice bonus, but not really needed as most web designers code have to make sure everything runs well in IE anyway.

indeed it is.

firefox vs iron javascript render times.

The only problem with all the JS speed tests I see in Chrome is they don't take into account DOM manipulation which is what JS mostly does and it is the hardest to optimism. I wonder if there is a link? :P

Don't get me wrong the JS is quicker but it's not the quantum leap it appears on computational intensive tasks.

Firefox that my No 1 all way -- Mozilla will release new Fx 3.5 due by June that would be good one - Ive tried the FX 3.5b4 at work that really good as much speed and look nice in features.

Firefox let you choose any theme (Opera as well) but not in IE or Chrome... Red Fox run faster with 4 legs.... I never use IE or Chrome or Opera.

I'm on the fence:

-I like the speed of Safari; it's very, very quick (slightly quicker than Chrome) but some apps don't work.
-Firefox is my normal default browser due to adblock and a good balance of speed and features, I guess I could probably set something similar up for others though.
-IE8 I'm very impressed with, it's got some long overdue features like crash recovery, and compatibility is very good. If it had come out a couple of years ago I probably never would have started using FF.
-Chrome I've basically ditched for now, it's got some really annoying updater that runs in the background (even after I uninstalled it? GTFO!), and like Safari I've hit some compatibility issues. I can't really find any reason to recommend it over Safari.

So at the moment I'm sticking with FF and hoping that it can gain some ground on the speed of Safari.

Just downloaded Chrome after reading this, was using IE and FF. Very fast and clean, I can't stand loads of add ons and tool bars, I like it!

Chrome > FireFox > anything else I can find > IE

On XP I use Chrome.

On 7 I use FF as Chrome doesnt work properly

At work im stuck with IE as I cannot install anything else :(
