Do you eat vegetables?

I hardly ever ate them as a kid, but do eat more now.
There are still some veg that I can't stand even today though, I think it's the bitter taste I don't like - I really can't stand bitter things.
Sprouts are the prime suspect in this regard, but also some types of cabbage and broccoli never go on my plate.

I've always been really into my fruit though, sometimes 5 or 6 pieces a day though usually 3 or 4.

Yeah, people who don't deserve a slap.
No wait, their parents need a slap for not forcing them to eat their veg.

All these parents "he doesn't like veg" well, no kid does, but thats where it starts, you have to make kids eat veg or they'll have bad eating habbits and bad health.

My son was never forced to eat veg - he was given a wide range of veg from being weaned. Start a child early on veg and he'll become accustomed very quickly. His own son ate vegetables at every meal from being weaned and will now eat most that he's offered.
No doubt if my son reads this he'll have something to say in favour of veg :D

Not nearly enough. Almost all out of laziness.

Parsnips no, swede no, squashes probably not. Most other things are fine with me.

I used to kick off in screaming fits if I saw a single cooked carrot on my plate, but could nom raw carrots all day. How odd is that? :D

Agree... I hate adults that are picky eaters and refuse to try anything different, even stuff they have never eaten before. What's worse is those adults that start fake-gagging whenever they accidently eat a pea.

Shoot them all.

I'll happily eat peas but that's usually it.

Carrots, parsnips, turnip et al are not welcome on my plate.

Not liking vegetables strikes me as extremely childish. I'd think less of someone if they told me that.

Same here, entirely. Just screams childish stupidity to me. My flat mate literally never eats them, and when Im cooking a vegeterian meal shell always make a face and go 'urgh', normally when its some sort of curry - Everything she eats involves meat and cream.

Uneducated people annoy me.

Actually, its weird, if you go to Asia, i have never come across any children who don't like their greens. It is unheard of.

I've been known to eat the odd vegetable but then being a vegetarian it usually goes with the territory. As a matter of fact I've just finished a rather tasty stir fry that I made, easy, quick, tasty and cheap - what's not to like about that. :)

i think that most things have been covered, but my one tip would be STEAM you veg guys or microwave in very little water, the nutrients remain in the veg and not washed out into the boiling water. also adding a little lemon to your salad or balsalmic vinegar. veggies are awsome, apart from aubergine!

I find myself agreeing with that. I also find fussy/picky eaters really frustrating.

I guess I compare them to my diet and my way of eating which isn't entirely fair, however I still feel that being fussy and dismissing essential foods and relying on "comfort" foods is really quite outrageous.

I eat veg, love broccoli and peas, not a big salad fan but can have it with some chicken or tuna.

M grandma never ate veg, very rare that she would and she lived till 83.
