New F1 budget rules proposed.

The budget cap seems low to me, and the notion of two tiers dumb. I don't like the very short window of consideration either. Finally, how is this to be enforced? How does the transition work?

So, potentially 26 cars hurtling into the first corner? more back markers? It'll be chaos, and dangerous.
they managed fine for the first 50 years of F1, its only in the very near past that weve had a tiny amount of cars on the grid. used to have to do pre-qualifying because there was well more than 30 cars.

I still want to know whether Ferrari can pull out an old 2003 chasis and run it next year under the 40mil budget rules. How are they going to prevent teams using previously developed stuff?

because it wont confirm to the new rules. Dimensions, engine size, gearbox etc are all different.

hows no refueling going to work then? the kers cars already have reduced scale fuel tanks so is kers going out the window? or will cars just be bigger next season? there has to be a mid point somewhere between performance and economy i guess but even then theyd still need larger tanks than can fit in an f1 car surely?

weight limit has been increased.

And kers ereally annoys me at the moment. Little room for development. They should set a fly wheel weight/battery capacitor size. Then removed the 6 second rule. teams can then actually devlop the system. Getting maximum power recovery out the system, whilst trying to retain car ballance.

Someone should make a formula where there are only safety regulations after that they are free to enter any car they want. Any engine size, any car size etc. Then we will have teams developing the best cars possible.

As much as I want to see deristictions of rules, that just wouldn't work. you do need rules.

They need to change the rules, so there less aerodynamic development. But more more engine development. They should also open the rules up to allow fuel cell power electric cars. It would be a great drive towards new power systems for road cars.
