All,

A sad day for me today, I threw away my work shoes that I have worn for the last 12 years. My work m8 says they are 'Holocaust Shoes' that he has seen in a exhibiton at imp war museum, but I always thought they looked kinda cool and called them 'Desert Boots'

Anyone else got some of these bad boys, I think they cost about £6.99 when I bought them back in the 90s. :D

the best bit about these shoes is when they fade you can make them look brand new with a black perm marker pen :)

ps: this is in no way taking *&^% out of holocaust, as I am myself 1/4 jewish.

You sound a bit like me. Favourite clothes come after wearing them for a few months, by which time they've left the shop I bought them from.

They are DB's & they must Stink after 11 years. My old faithfuls don't get thrown away they just get left where they were last put & gradually pushed out of sight. :D
My Loyalty even covers my old clothes & shoes :o + :p

That's not what holocaust means, just so we can clear things up.
I couldn't let the idea pass that people think Holocaust means that.

But I understand what you mean though and I don't think anyone would think wrong of you :)

I've worn pigskin desert boots for years, usually tan ones mind (in fact I'm wearing some now). Not very good in the winter though; kind of like wearing a pair of chamois leathers on your feet :D
