When you say top do you mean good films or just ones that you've enjoyed because several of them have to be questionable in relation to being actually good films.

If you want good and enjoyable then I can happily recommend 12 Angry Men, Seven Samurai, Casablanca and The Third Man - all black & white classics and all truly fantastic films.

Since I notice you've got a few sports films on there I'd also recommend Coach Carter, Varsity Blues and The Longest Yard. I can't really recommend Never Back Down as although Djimon Hounsou is in it, he's largely wasted in his role.

Classic martial arts I'd recommend Enter The Dragon and Drunken Master, more modern martial arts epics such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hero and Fearless are all well worth a watch.

I could recommend literally hundreds of films but they'll do for starters.

I should have really put "your top films"

See most of the films you have mentioned are the ones i have forgot about, all great films except The Longest Yard.

And im not entirely sure ive seen any of the black and white ones.

I can watch any kind of film, war/fighting/musical/drama/martial arts/gangster/sport/comedy/ action/ true storys/ subtitled

Just no girly crap and horrors dont do much for me either unless there based on a true story, tend to find most horrors these days are cheaply written rubbish.

You've also reminded me of another good jet li film called Unleashed, many will disagree with this im guessing, but i loved it.

They'll be loads i need to watch again now, so ill start by looking for the martial arts ones you've recommended, be able to get the all for just a few quid these days

There's 1 old film i cant remember the name of, its back in world war 1 or 2 where some of the english have been captured and have to make a railway track through a jungle. Can anyone remember the name of this?

Thanks

Had a quick look at your list, didn't see "Man on Fire" there? may be wrong....has your fav actor in it....Mr Washington....
Great film very violent....

Have you seen films like Cradle 2 the Grave and Babylon AD?

I know you mentioned no horrors but Jason X is worth a watch.

Never Back Down? I am Legend? A.I.? Hancock? Troy?

Crikey, I think a lot of your films would be on my "worst films" list ;)

Oddly enough I thought about mentioning Bridge On The River Kwai but stopped as I figured I'd put down enough to be going on with.

Gattaca is pretty decent, I suspect given your choices you might also like Equilibrium. Blade Runner is superb, as is the original short story it is based on.

Kung Fu Hustle brilliantly combines martial arts with comedy, even people who don't like martial arts films seem to like it.

Now for some more random films that I've got to put down and don't worry I'm not typing them all out, it's a list of films that I've got for when I don't feel like raking through the DVD collection:
