I'm doing a law essay on the computer misuse act. I'm looking for high profile hacking cases before the act. I seem to remember that either Prince Charles or maybe Philip had their email hacked before the computer misuse act. From what i remember they tried to do the people for criminal damage to his hard drive. I however can't find anywhere on the web that actually says what happened. Does anyone kniow any where where i can find it. Or what actually happened??

He wasn't even born in the 80's according to his profile. Must mean the 90's, I remember something like this too, but I don't think it was their emails that got hacked, was something to do with someone taking a nosy on charles computer and borrowing some files iirc?

Pretty sure however the more i look and cant find it the more i think that maybe i imaged it. From what i remeber though due to the fact that there was no computer misuse act they really struggled to find something to prosecute them with. They tried things like forgery and theft of electricity on the server. Thats why i can remember it as i was thought it was crazy at the time. If i remember correctly it was in a book or magazine though.

Thats where i read it

Think he was born in the mid 50's and he's round the 60 years of age mark now.
