Not sure if any of you remember but i posted up a few months back about getting my shoulder sorted. Well on monday i had my follow up appointment with my doctor and he says its been an overwhelming success with perfect union between all breaks.

Here are some pictures:

Physio is going great, the shoulder feels so much stronger and im so much more confident in using it, and even looks, the doctor even said that the difference in appearence and outward confidence from 8 weeks ago is phenomenal.

From now: started doing active full body training both cardio and weights and it feels great still, the only niggle i have is with my a/c joint but thats normal im told.

Thanks for reading :)

Nice big plate you've got in there - is it titanium or stainless steel?

It's amazing the difference plating can make in such circumstances - I used to work with hip replacements and, assuming they went well, were reported to be almost like a silver bullet to patient pain and disability...

I believe its titanium with stainless screws but didnt ask directly. The pain is gone completely, your right its amazing how much of a difference its made.

How did you break it?

Good too see it's on the mend, it looks like it was pretty nasty!

i broke it once at the start of 2003 right at the end (furthest away from neck) and again in october 2003 in the middle which healed at a very awkward angle but never got it repaired.

I did it racing motocross :)

Glad you're doing well but it looks like someone dropped their comb in to you while you were being operated on. Have you considered ringing Claims Direct? :o

I'm squeamish but that's not too bad! :p

I thought you had pics of the actual surgery being performed or something, that would probably make me vomit. :o

Glad to see you're on the mend though. :)
