Does washing a new pair of jeans make them slightly smaller?

It might a little, but they'll stretch back out.

Yhack is right too, you're not really supposed to wash them.

Nope, just air them out (febreeze works pretty well :p), they fit better, look better and the distressing from wearing looks more natural.

Agh, I wouldn't even consider wearing a pair of jeans that had been worn for a week or so. Don't they get sweaty and all nasty?

Not at all, like I say air them out every few days and they're fine. Wash them by hand every 6-8 weeks in cold water to get any marks off od them.

Of course, with £6 jeans from Primark I wouldn't bother, but if it's half decent denim it's worth it as it will look much better and last longer.

syke was telling me a while ago that he doesn't wash his in the washing machine. Well his mum doesn't. He said he hand washes them, himself!

Now I half believe him!:o

I don't wash my jeans, I just rotate the pairs that I have, and give each one a chance to air out. Any stains I get, I just hand wash out with water.
